God the Refuge of His People.

1 God is our ^brefuge and strength,
^{▼▼ Or Abundantly available for help}A very ^dpresent help ^ein ^{▼▼ Or tight places}trouble.
2 Therefore we will ^gnot fear, though ^hthe earth should change
And though ⁱthe mountains slip into the heart of the ^{▼▼ Lit seas}sea;
3 Though its ^kwaters roar and foam,
Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. ^{▼▼ Selah may mean: Pause, Crescendo or Musical interlude}Selah.

4 There is a ^mriver whose streams make glad the ⁿcity of God,
The holy ^odwelling places of the Most High.
5 God is ^pin the midst of her, she will not be moved;
God will ^qhelp her ^{▼▼ Lit at the turning of the morning}when morning dawns.
6 The ^{▼▼ Or Gentiles}nations ^tmade an uproar, the kingdoms tottered;
He ^{▼▼ Lit gave forth
,} ^vraised His voice, the earth ^wmelted.
7 The Lord of hosts ^xis with us;
The God of Jacob is ^your stronghold. Selah.

8 Come, ^zbehold the works of the Lord,
^{▼▼ Or Which He has wrought as desolations}Who has wrought ^abdesolations in the earth.
9 He ^acmakes wars to cease to the end of the earth;
He ^adbreaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;
He ^aeburns the chariots with fire.
10 ^{▼▼ Or Let go, relax}“Cease striving and ^agknow that I am God;
I will be ^ahexalted among the ^{▼▼ Or Gentiles}nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
11 The Lord of hosts is with us;
